Why the Buttress?
In this world of new technologies and complicated issues, I feel like a lot of people just want to go back to the basics. Sometimes people think too much and get too far away from nature.
I know that the Buttress won’t cure a terrible disease or be the next level high tech gadget but to me, the Buttress is a classic. It reminds me to appreciate the ‘stupid’ things, laugh, stop always thinking about what is correct and relax, be one with the universe and to love naturally and honestly. I believe that many people in this fast paced, high stress world of today would benefit from the Buttress and we hope to share it with them.

Who is Jia?
I am Jia,
Long time fan of Butts and here’s why I’m qualified to bring the Buttress into the world.
I came to the US at the age of 5 and didn’t know a word of English. It was hard to relate with people or make friends. It was always hard to find common ground. In the next 20 years, I pushed myself to seek new challenges and do what I was afraid to do. I graduated from Wake Forest University with a major in Political Science. I wrote and produced my own music focused on deep thinking and helping others. I played street music in Venice, Italy and have been all over the world including Spain, France, China, Singapore, Germany, Belgium and the UK.
One of the most rewarding experiences of my life was when I trained and lived at the Shaolin Temple in DengFeng, China for half a year. I worked for Save the Children and Holiday Inn, done research on drug abuse for NIDA, and now I’m the Head Purchasing Director at an esteemed E-commerce platform. I have been with my beautiful girlfriend Anna for the last 2 years and we still have that beautiful, intense passion.
One day, after I had chilled with my woman and went home to take a nap, it was hard to fall asleep. Then I thought: It would be so much easier if I had my hand rested tenderly on her butt. Light bulb!!! The Buttress was born. When I’m not with her, a pair of her undies on the Buttress relaxes me and gives me peace. I now sleep with the Buttress every night.
When I was just a child, I thought that there was such a difference between people of different cultures. Now, 20 years later, after every challenge and crazy thing I’ve done, and my relationships, there doesn’t seem like there is such an impossible gap anymore. There are common feelings that we all share…
One example is: the love of Butts!!! Let’s unite the world through something simple but overlooked, stupid but genius, natural but perfect. The universal butt.

What are the specifications and how is it made?
This is a big butt made out of the highest quality 100% natural latex material! The base is about 14 inches x 15 inches and the crest of the cheek reaches 8 inches!!! There are 2 parts to the design of the Buttress: the cheeks and the thighs. The cheeks are softer than the thighs allowing your head to sink in while the thigh offers neck support. The outer yoga-pant-like Buttress Pillow Case ties together at the top (like the waist tie on trousers) and secures the strap. The adjustable and separable strap allows the thighs to open or close and allows you to dress your Buttress. The total weight is 3 pounds. The Buttress is crafted intuitive, strong and will last you a lifetime.

Why Natural Latex?
After a couple trials, I decided to use natural latex as the main material for the Buttress. Natural latex is made from the sap of trees, very natural, is very high quality, has a close feel to butts and of course is very safe to sleep on unlike some man-made materials like memory foam. The butt is natural so the Buttress will be natural. It is also very comfortable, clean, pure, ergonomic, and durable. You never need to fluff it and it has small holes throughout to keep you cool. It is considered one of the highest quality materials for bedding and pillows.

How do I clean it?
The Buttress is very easy to clean. Simply remove the pillow cover by untying the easy open top, and you can wash the cover in any washing machine! Just like you would wash your clothes.

Our Schedule?
We have been working hard to make sure you get your hands on the Buttress ASAP. The final design is already completed and the molding is underway. We plan to have the Buttress delivered before May, but not at the cost of quality. Guaranteed delivery time will be set in June. I will make sure everything from the packaging to the pillow cases to the Buttress itself will make our backers smile and say ‘this is even better than I expected!’

Do the Add-ons include a Butt Box set?
No, the add-on will not include the complete set. It will only include the Buttress pillow cover. Each Backer will receive only receive one Butt Box set and one OBFC lifetime membership but you can grab as many Buttresses as you want!

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
